Poznań. Impressions

Well, I’m already 2,5 month in Poznań. May be this are not my first impressions, but still I wanna to share them . So:

  • Poznań is really alive city – with a lots of students, parties, concerts, small fairs and other attractions. As I noticed, it has its own dialect and culture – something that’s hard to be captured on the paper, but all the citizen’s are proud of and can be recognized by. You have to work hard to find free place in cafés during the weekend and on the concerts may feel lost in crowd of very active students, but the atmosphere is cool there.
  • Polish people are friendly and strive to help you even if you’re not asking – it’s enough just to stay somewhere with the map in your hands and embarrassed face. The average level of English is quite good – no wonder concerning EURO 2012’s preparation. Just try to ask younger people. Also it’s useful to learn few Polish words – like “Hi”, “Thank you” and so on – even if you’re not going to use them for some practical purpose, Polish people are very glad to hear them from foreigners. It’s just cute.
  • LC Poznań is one of the biggest LCs in Poland, and may be that’s the reason why my e-mail is massed a bit with a LOT of information. Don’t forget to subscribe for LC google group – otherwise you’ll miss big part of @-life – cause something’s going on everyday in this LC!
    • The level of infrastructure is satisfactory – I mean, buses can be more punctual and I used to have non-stop shop near my home, but transportation system is effective enough (I just like trams more :) and taxi is rather cheap, wide range of European supermarkets and brand shops (oh, Stary Browar!!) are available and accept credit cards, cafes and pubs often have the menu in English, you can check and book almost everything you’re interested in via Internet.
      • LECH is everywhere. I heard some legend about three brothers – Lech, Czech and Rus. So, Poznań was occupied with the first one – Lech is beer, water, biscuits (or some other sweets, I don’t remember), football club, the district of city… It just everywhere

That’s all for today. The pictures are from our parties and just time-spending.

      Hugs and kisses

T2doubleG

Hi guys!

Let's have a look at what Gdańsk offers... the most important seaport in Poland, more than 1 000 years of history, great night life and almost 500 000 inhabitants... According to my guess :))... info for boys: there must be at least 10 000 pretty girls in the city and info for girls: there must be at least 7 004 handsome boys (if not men :D) including Gener, Harry, Sasha and me :))). I hope more boys will confirm their participation... Who would want to miss this trip?! Nobody!!! So let's go!!! And what Gdynia offers? Almost the same! Just in lower numbers... But I heared it's even more beautiful city than Gdańsk ;). Soooo... we just need to find out ourselves! I'm waiting for your calls and messages about your confirmation of taking part in T2doubleG! (Trip To Gdańsk and Gdynia)

When: Saturday & Sunday (30. - 31. 8.)

Where: Gdańsk and Gdynia
